Larry Rankin photographs the natural world, in particular the Sacred spaces that connect us to the earth and to all who have walked before us. Rankin's skillful work with camera movement and light creates a vision beyond the literal, a reach for the transcendence of the natural world. "Woodlands and Waterscapes: light, color, and gesture" opens on April 6 at 5:00 pm with Amherst's Arts Night Plus, and continues through April 29. The monthly Art Forum features a discussion with photographer Stan Sherer, and will be held on April 20 from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
